Our Mission:
Your Dog's Ultimate Home Sanctuary
At Pupmont, we are redefining the rules of pet care. We believe that the future of dog boarding belongs in intimate, lived-in homes, not in stressful, crowded, or institutional environments.
Dogs are natural family members. They do not thrive when confined to cages, isolated in commercial "luxury suites," or forced to compete with dozens of other stressed animals for basic attention and love. Too many pet parents have experienced the heartbreak of picking up a dog that is exhausted, anxious, or unwell after a traditional boarding stay. We believe pets deserve so much better. There is simply no substitute for a real home.
Our ultimate goal is to set a new standard for pet care, where every dog is treated like family.
Our Core Values &
Commitment in Action
We don't just talk about better pet care. We practice it daily. Here is how our philosophy shapes your dog’s care:
1. Intentional Well-Being & Harmony
We believe exceptional care begins with caregivers who genuinely love what they do. That’s why we designed our business to not feel like a business. Instead our intention is to have the experience as if we are caring for our own dogs at home, rather than having so many dogs that it feel like we are living in a kennel. Intentionally limiting our capacity to just a small group of dogs, allows our lives to remain balanced, joyful, and sustainable, helping us to bring our best selves to our pup guests. It creates an experience that feels natural and personal. Dogs can sense the calm, patience, and genuine affection of caregivers who actually love what they do.
2. Connection Over Volume
We choose quality over quantity, every single time. We are not interested in maximizing profit per square foot; we are dedicated to protecting the peace of our space. Because we are highly selective, we screen all of our guests to ensure they thrive in a quiet setting. This allows us to focus entirely on deep, intimate companionship and individualized care rather than chaotic crowd management.
3. Honesty & Transparency
True care requires absolute integrity. We build our relationships with pet parents on a foundation of real trust and partnership. This means completely transparent pricing, clear policies, and honest daily updates. We will always communicate exactly how your dog is behaving, eating, and adjusting to our home, sharing genuine observations rather than just saying what we think you want to hear.
4. Active Joy & Play
We believe that physical play and mental stimulation are vital to a dog's health and vitality. We structure our days around active, personalized fun, including:
-
Regular 20-to-30-minute outdoor walks to explore and sniff.
-
Customized puzzle toys and brain games to keep minds sharp.
-
Plentiful one-on-one cuddle sessions and belly rubs.
When our guests are happy, our work becomes a joy—and being happy, energized caregivers makes us the best possible protectors for your pup.
5. Uncompromising Home Freedom
We completely reject restrictive cages, crates, and runs. Our environment is designed to feel as close to your dog's own loving household as possible. Our guests enjoy full, free-roaming access to our living space, whether they want to nap on the couches, stretch out on the cool floors, or sleep cozily in our bed at night, just like they would at home.
Our Promise to You
We offer you absolute peace of mind through professional integrity, transparent practices, and a gentle, low-stress environment. When your dog stays at Pupmont, they aren’t just boarded. They are welcomed into our family.
Meet the PupMont Team
Jade, CEO

Chief Enrichment Officer
You might be surprised to know that I haven't always been a dog lover. When I was five years old, I was chased by a ferocious neighborhood dog and almost bitten. That scary moment left me terrified of dogs for most of my life.
Paws-itively Converted
Everything changed when my sister got Bella. I started dog sitting her and fell in love. That's when I realized — I'm a total dog person! It took me years to discover just how incredibly loving, sweet, and endearing they are. The biggest surprise was how unique their little personalities are.
After leaving the corporate world, where my job was just a job, this work feels incredibly rewarding. What started as a casual side gig has become our purpose and our daily joy.
When I'm not with our pup guests, you'll find me trail running among the redwoods, especially on the trails off Skyline and near Half Moon Bay or honing my photography skills.
Jeff, CRO

Chief Ruff-housing Officer
I've always been a dog person at heart. I grew up with dogs, but after moving out on my own, I went years without one. It wasn't until we started watching Bella that I remembered just how much I'd missed that connection. Seeing her personality and spirit reinvigorated my love for dogs and reminded me just how much joy they bring.
The best part of it is getting to know dogs of every shape, size, and personality. They're so unique, and each one has their funny little quirks. A prime example is Dozer, who carried a soccer-sized green ball everywhere he went, even to bed... and don't you even think about taking it away from him.
I spent years in corporate sales, working because I had to. This is completely different. This is more fun than it is work. I never anticipated enjoying retirement this much.
When I'm not on dog duty, I'm usually tinkering on a home project around the house, and my favorite part is having a dog hanging out in the yard keeping me company while I work. I'm also an avid golfer.
